Ever since we started dating the story of how our first date came about has made us, and those around us, laugh. Technically we met at camp, we both were on staff the first week of 2006, and he made one or two trips to camp over the summer to visit and help out. We didn't take much notice of each other!

My parents bought tickets to a dinner theater in Winnipeg for themselves, Joel and Sheri, me, and my date. I sure didn't have a date! Really I was just going to take Dayna with me. Sheri, and Luella (her mother) had a different idea. They asked Jay (without my knowledge) to be my date for the evening. Once I found out it was too late to do anything about it! Luella also happens to be the mother of one of my students, which makes the story so much more interesting! I always say my studnets mother set us up! So our first date was with my parents and a total set-up. Who would have thought that almost a year to the day we would be engaged!
